Here's how it works.

The Consolidator makes their data available to Solarnet via our UK data centre. The search is made on that database which is continuously updated.  What's more, the fares can be shown in order of price, season, or class. Do not confuse this with the CRS/GDS 'Private Fares' system. It does not matter which one you use, Solarnet will distribute your fares to all GDS systems.  Therefore if you have Sabre, an agent with Galileo or Worldspan can book your net fares.

Our Internet version site for Travel Agents Only will be available in early May to enable agents without a GDS to make bookings. Listings are clear and fast. No advertising banners to slow things down.

Instead of phone calls from agents requesting updates or price quotes, agents simply access our server from either source. Currently, 5,000 travel agencies are connected to the CRS/GDS networks in the UK with approx. 50,000 in North America and many more world wide. In the UK a large number of agents do not have a CRS/GDS. With broadband access now falling in price the use of this service will grow quickly.

Consolidators can also designate the travel agents they wish to receive information and those they don't. Alternatively, tiered prices can be posted, giving preferred or high volume agents the best deal.
